I was born in the Romanian countryside and later began my career as a Romanian language teacher, so the language and culture are a deep part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve become multilingual — I speak three other languages — and have lived and worked as a Romanian teacher in different countries.
Even so, my connection to Romania has always remained strong. Today, I teach Romanian to heritage and international learners in Spain.
Through my work, I share not only our beautiful language, but also the cultural nuances that shape our identity and make us unique. In this way, I naturally act as a small ambassador of the Romanian language and culture — with care and pride.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that many learners put in a lot of effort, yet feel they’re not getting the results they hoped for. They study, memorise, and try hard — but still hesitate when it’s time to actually use Romanian.
Often, the difficulty isn’t the language itself, but the lack of a clear path and meaningful context. Without understanding why things are said a certain way or how the language fits into real situations, progress can feel slow and frustrating.
